Dear participants,

IEEE NFV-SDN 2022 is scheduled as a hybrid conference. This was due to the COVID considerations when our planning started in late 2021. Since that time the conditions globally have improved significantly and many travel restrictions have been lifted.

The General Chairs of this conference have the greatest respect for any personal or other concerns that may remain, and nevertheless would strongly encourage your attendance in person whenever possible.

Our primary reasoning is based on the historical interaction between industry and academy associated with this conference. This year we are in sunny Arizona, and those that can manage to come early or stay late may have the opportunity to visit the U.S. Grand Canyon or the beautiful Sedona region of Arizona.

The organizing committee this year has worked hard and done a tremendous job organizing the many on-site events, including keynotes which will be in person.

Thanks a lot for your understanding our desire to have you attend in person.

Kurt Tutschku and Larry Horner

Welcome Message

The 8th IEEE Conference on Network Functions Virtualization and Software-Defined Networking (IEEE NFV-SDN 2022) will be an onsite/hybrid event in 2022. The conference is scheduled to take place onsite and hybrid from 14-16 November 2022. Download Call for Papers, Download call for Workshop papers , Call for Tutorials, Call for Doctoral Symposium.

In 2022, IEEE NFV-SDN conference will focus on the foundation, design, verification, operation, security, and evolution of virtualized network functions (VNFs) and the advances in the NFV concept. In addition, the 2022 conference includes the investigation of the relationship Beyond 5G/6G networks and transmission technologies will have with applications within the NFV architectural concepts. Special interest will be given to how Beyond 5G/6G applications are designed, orchestrated, and managed by NFV mechanisms and VNFs. IEEE NFV-SDN 2022 continues as the premier IEEE event on the latest NFV and SDN concepts and mechanisms.

We look forward to your participation!
