Call for Tutorials

Network Functions Virtualization (NFV),Software Defined Networks (SDN) and Cloud Native Network Functions (CNF) are paving the way for evolution in all areas of network concepts and technologies. They are expected to transform not only telecommunication networks, campus, enterprise and datacenter networks, but accelerate the introduction of smart cities/homes/cars/businesses and green infrastructures. Currently, NFV, SDN and CNF are in the advanced transition phase from development into trials and early deployments.

The shift to openness and knowledge exchange during the transition process is encouraging rapid adoption. Open source software and hardware development, the convergence of IT and telco development, and the alignment of operation processes have supported the widespread acceptance of NFV, SDN and CNF. The latest research results in algorithms, hardware design, etc. together with competition for the adoption of the best ideas for acceptance in the community is driving rapid growth of research in this area.

The organizing committee welcomes proposals for tutorials to be held on Nov. 14,which is prior to the main conference. Tutorials should serve one or more of the following objectives: introducing students and newcomers to major topics in NFV, SDN and CNF research; providing instructions on established practices and methodologies; surveying a mature area of NFV, SDN and CNF research and/or practice; motivating and explaining an NFV, SDN and CNF related topic of emerging importance.
